Empress and Ena

A fibroid the size of a five month old fetus forced Empress to change her sheets and pads three times a night and left her battling severe anemia. She found herself constantly asking the question “why me?”

After turning to her sister, Ena, for emotional support they learned that they both suffered from fibroids. In fact, fibroids ran in the family – all nine of their aunts had had them too.

Not wanting to have a more invasive procedure, Empress and Ena began to research their treatment options and discovered uterine fibroid embolization. Both had the procedure and were back on their feet in a matter of days.

The process made the two sisters even closer and taught them a valuable lesson – no one needs to go through this alone.

“It’s been a rollercoaster ride for us, but together we’re getting through it.”
