Heavy bleeding. Exhaustion. Anemia. This was Carmen’s life with uterine fibroids.
After a nearly ten-year battle with fibroids and a series of procedures to remove a total of 61 fibroids, Carmen felt defeated, and started losing hope of ever having a “normal life.”
Frustrated with treatments that didn’t seem to work for her, she went to a different physician. Her new doctor told her she may be a candidate for uterine fibroid embolization and referred her to an Interventional Radiologist. Within a week Carmen underwent the procedure.
With her energy restored and her life back on track, Carmen is grateful to have pushed until she found the option that worked for her.
“I really wish I had gotten this procedure initially.”
